Adams is currently a free agent after his contract with Southampton expired. Speculation about his future has been ongoing for months, with Leeds showing a particular interest. The club has had a long-standing interest in Adams, dating back to the 2019/20 season under Marcelo Bielsa. Leeds’ failure to secure promotion earlier this year seemed to have reduced the likelihood of a deal.

Wolves, Everton, and Nottingham Forest have also been linked with the 28-year-old. Nottingham Forest appeared to be the front-runner, but recent reports suggest Torino is attempting to outbid the Midlands club.

Torino is reportedly eager to discuss a potential move with Adams, offering him a new opportunity in Italy. If successful, this would be Adams’ first experience playing outside of England.

Adams began his career in the non-league, playing for Oadby Town and Ilkeston before joining Sheffield United. He later moved to Birmingham City before Southampton signed him in 2019. During his time with the Saints, Adams scored 48 goals in 191 appearances, with his final game being a substitute appearance in the play-off final win over Leeds at Wembley.
