According to Calciomercato, West Ham is interested in Costa as a more affordable option. The 23-year-old defender has caught the eye with his performances in Ligue 1, demonstrating notable physicality and aerial skills.
However, there are concerns regarding Costa’s pace and his previous decision to opt out of a league-wide anti-homophobia campaign, which has raised doubts about his fit for the Premier League.
Although Costa was born in France, he chose to represent Cape Verde internationally despite having played for the French national team at youth levels.
