EXCLUSIVE – Leeds in strong Negotiating Position as The Whites Overprice Player – Interested Club Director admits he ‘Cannot Meet’ Demands for Austrain Sportsman, Hopes for last minute Deal with Farke

A club director has openly admitted difficulty in meeting Leeds United’s asking price for one of their players.

Leeds narrowly missed automatic promotion last season and now face the challenge of retaining their key players during the summer transfer window.

Championship Player of the Season Crysencio Summerville has been linked with a move to West Ham United, while Wilfried Gnonto remains a target for Everton.

However, it appears Leeds may hold onto one of their other highly-regarded players, as a club president has indicated they cannot afford the player’s price.

Borussia Mönchengladbach’s president has confirmed that the club is unable to meet Leeds United’s asking price for Max Wober. Despite interest following Wober’s successful loan spell, the German side cannot match Leeds’ valuation.

“We are keeping an eye on the market, but we cannot meet Leeds United’s asking price. Leeds are not open to a loan deal, so this situation is currently on hold,” said Roland Virkus, according to Sport Witness.

“But we have previously found successful solutions, and players like Max Wober may reappear on the market towards the end of the window.”

Wober, described as an ‘immense’ defender by Leeds’ YouTube channel, is estimated to be worth around £12.6 million. With his contract at Elland Road running until 2027, Leeds is in a strong position for negotiations.
