Everton’s summer transfer activity is gaining momentum, with fresh reports from Turkey indicating a significant development in their pursuit of a former Premier League player.
Following the recent sale of Amadou Onana to Aston Villa, which injected £50million into their transfer budget, the Toffees are poised to make further reinforcements.
Earlier this month, HITC revealed Everton’s interest in Jesper Lindstrom, with a potential loan deal on the cards. Meanwhile, Napoli has identified David Neres as a £34million target to replace Lindstrom.
However, Turkish outlet Sporx reports that Galatasaray’s inability to sign new players this summer may lead to the sale of key assets, including Davinson Sanchez and Baris Alper Yilmaz.
Sanchez, a 28-year-old center-back who left Tottenham for Galatasaray last September, has attracted interest from Everton and Napoli. Previously, Ajansspor reported that Everton submitted a £17million bid for Sanchez.
His potential return to the Premier League comes after being pushed down the pecking order at Tottenham following the arrival of Micky van de Ven under new manager Ange Postecoglou. Notably, former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino praised Sanchez as “a beast” in 2018.
