Julen Lopetegui’s team has specifically inquired about 22-year-old Thiaw before beginning negotiations for Tomori, who is reportedly open to returning to the Premier League. According to Calcio Mercato on July 22, Tomori is valued between £33.7 million and £37.9 million, a figure West Ham is unlikely to meet after acquiring Max Kilman from Wolves.
Both defenders, known for their talent and experience in Italy, would be valuable additions to West Ham’s squad. The team’s defense was heavily criticized during the 2023/24 season, as David Moyes’ defensive tactics still resulted in numerous goals conceded.
With Angelo Ogbonna’s contract having expired, Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, and Konstantinos Mavropanos remain options for Lopetegui, although it is uncertain if all three will stay at the club for the next season.
